We clean, condition and protect all types of leather upholstery including nubuck, suede, aniline and protected leathers. Most pieces can be done in your home in one to two hours using safe and non toxic cleaning systems tailored to your specific type of leather furniture.
Leather Cleaning Codes:
You should find one of these codes affixed to a tag on the platform under the seating cushions.
P: Protected. This type of leather not the softest but it is the most user friendly. Protected leathers have been treated with one or more finishes that help prevent water and oil based spills and stains from penetrating the hide. Regular simple maintenance along with annual deep cleaning and protecting will keep this type of leather looking great for decades.
A: Aniline. These leathers are frequently some of the highest quality in terms of texture and style. Unfortunately aniline dyed leathers are also more susceptible to spills and soils than protected leathers. Regular cleaning and maintenance are essential to keeping these pieces in top condition.
N: Nubuck. The nubuck finish is created by using special cutters to raise a very fine nap on the surface of the leather. Finer than suede in texture and appearance, nubuch finishes are enjoyed for their soft, luxurious feel. This is also the most difficult of the leathers to care for. Don't let these get very soiled before having them professionally cleaned. Spot cleaning and home cleaning methods can permanently damage the texture and appearance.
